When you ask for certain arrangements and those arrangements are agreed upon by both parties in the contract, and then the hotel fails to make those things happen, that is breach of contract.

For example, the hotel agrees to a No Construction or No Renovation clause and upon arrival the entire hotel is covered in scaffolding and the bar is closed as is the fitness center due to construction or renovation.  That is breach of contract.

This type of situation would allow the corporate meeting planner to cancel the agreement without any financial liability to the hotel
